Why Samturation

Saturation with character

A pre-tone filter, a tanh saturation core, and a post-tone tilt. Simple signal path, big sound.

A feedback loop you can hear

Feedback runs back into the saturation core, so Drive and Feedback interact. Turn both up for thick, harmonically dense tones.

Few controls, all musical

Six knobs and a bypass. If a control did not change the sound in a musical way, it is not on the panel.

No guardrails

Samturation lets you go overboard. That is the point.

Built to be trusted

Universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel, signed and notarized by Apple, validated with Apple's auval. Smoothed parameters.

The controls

Pre Tone
Tilt before saturation. Dark softens the top end going in; Bright pushes the highs into the saturator harder.
Drive
0 to 24 dB of gain into the saturation core.
Tone
Tilt after saturation, to tame or open up the result.
Feedback
How much of the saturated signal returns to the input of the core. Interacts with Drive.
Level
Output level, 0 to 2x.
Mix
Dry to wet. Parallel saturation in one knob.
